Born and raised in the rolling hills of South-central PA during the 1950s "Rock-n-Roll" era, my childhood was typical...baling hay, mowing grass, delivering newspapers and pumping gas...whatever paid an ambitious daydreamer. I learned to fix my own MG sports car to afford keeping it on the road. I built my own house to afford a mortgage. I read to afford adventure. And the people I met along the way defined the characters in my own stories.
I love telling stories. They helped me put my three kids to sleep every night. Now a self-employed home builder and designer, I write for racing magazines and builder newsletters (for my own sanity), and still seek adventure, while living with my wife Bonnie in our chalet among the pine trees. OK, so it is said you should write what you know. But, you ask, what do you know that anyone else would be interested in reading about? Hey, everyone has a story in them. Everyone has an experience to share. So jot it down! No, don't worry about spelling or grammar right now, you'll be able to fix all that stuff in due time. Jot down your story for the rest of us to enjoy. Like that lonely singer on the street corner with guitar in hand, share with us your song. Someone will be listening.
